Hollywood finally released a Super Mario Bros. movie that looked and sounded like the game if you could get past the fact that Chris Pratt was voicing Mario. So just one week before The Super Mario Bros. Movie opened, they premiered a riff of the 1993 version starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo that both called the biggest mistake of their careers. Mocky Horror also invited Super Mario Bros. Archive creator and collector Blake Dumesnil to the screening where he brought some of the actual props used in the movie including a Shy Guy mask, the "fire flower" gun and a pair of the "Thwomp" boots.
